I just installed a newly downloaded version of the dude for windows version 3.1. It crashed on startup; which is odd because the exact same thing happens on the linux install using wine. I happened to have an old copy from Feb 2009 and it worked fine.
Even though both versions say 3.1 there’s definitely something different between the two files.
Just for the heck of it; I ran an MD5 hash against both and they are different:
77214b593500cc012b717cbb4eb84659 dude-install-3.1_old.exe
07d0a5502592ee00d74eee217540f33a dude-install-3.1_new.exe
Mikrotik could use revisions like 3.1.0, 3.1.1, 3.1.2 to help us stay consistant with the software. Still a very a good piece of software though.
Has anyone else had this issue ?
