We moved our Dude Server from one physical location to another today. When we re-started the server we had a network cable plugged in improperly. Dude started normally but showed 100% of the network being down. We then swapped the cable to the correct location but in the process shut the computer down. When the computer re-booted we are no longer able to access Dude properly. Every time we enter the username and password it says they are invalid. We are resonably certain that we have the correct password but due to an unfortuneate set of circumstances our network architect is not available. Is there a method to re-set the password or somehow back-door the program. I would appreciate any input!
FYI we are running Version 1.2
First off I apologize for creating 2 threads and for now using a second user name..long couple of days and I am not completely with it.
Seconldy; When I posted the first message in this thread our network architect, who we believe changed our dude password and only kept it in his head, was recovering from a serious illness in the ICU of our local hospital after being found unconcious early this week. Since then we have recieved the terrible news that he passed away while being transported for emergency surgery. Suffice to say we are in a state of shock at the moment. We are a small tight knit ISP so if there is any way of recovering the info in Dude we desperately need it. I realize that asking for password hacks or workarounds is not usually acceptable for any program on any forum. I hope that you realize that it is only due to this unique situation that I am asking. If there is nothing that can be done then we would really like to know that so we can roll up our sleeves and start a re-build. We would appreciate any info that can be provided. Thank for your understanding in this matter.
