Dude Missing logs (e.g. syslogs)after reboot

Thanks at first to all developers of this useful tool.

I hope somebody can help me with my problem.
Basicly I´m using the Dude as well to capture sylog message of several ystem.
Therefore I creating a couple of additional log files assigned to each system.
Everything runs fine until th dude server needs to be restarted.
After reboot all logs exept the efault logs are missing.
For testing purposes I take a backup in front of the restart and imported the database after the restart but with same results.

Anybody an idea what happens or a workaround available?
Every time I need to setup approx 30 syslogs again.

Thanks

  1. Post your Dude version. I had no such a problems on 3.6 and 4.0. What version do you use?
  2. Files, you define to store syslog messages, are stored on server filesystem. Check C:\Program Files\Dude\data\files to find if there are in.
  3. May be you should specify rotation method for this files. Look at the scrinshots, it’s working config, dude server was restarted many times and files are persistent during changing version from 3.6 → 4.0Beta1 → 4.0Beta2.

Hi

Thanks for your feedback

below my response

  1. I have dude 4.0Beta2 installed
  2. Current log files could be find in C:\Program Files\Dude\data\files
After the reboot files are still located in this path but not anymore configured in the dude log section
  3. my config should be same as yours as showenin the attched file but as alreay mentioned the logs in dude web page mssing after reboot
    Document.rtf (1.82 MB)
    Document1.rtf (1.82 MB)

Not sure, but it seems your changes are not commited in The Dude database.
Check your database commit interval.
