I use Dude to monitor services and network bandwidth mainly. I just moved my Dude server on to a virtual server (running on VMWare ESXi) Since I moved it all the probes i created to monitor services and disk space now don’t work. I cannot even do an SNMP walk on the server however I can ping it. THe probes were working for a while yesterday, but this morning they all show as down.
Any ideas?
I have had situations occasionally, when modifying a device or probe, when a particular probe will go down even though the device it is probing is working fine. If I delete the probe from the device and then re-add it everything is oK again ??? Have you tried that?
Also, we run The Dude on a Win2k3 VM server under ESX without any problems (except minor things which don’t seem to be related to ESX).
