I’ve been looking for a small lightweight mini computer to run The Dude on, the new Raspberry Pi 2 + Windows 10 looks perfect.
Will The Dude run on that Windows 10 ARM platform though?
It would be absolutely perfect! We should immediately try it once it is possible to get windows 10 on raspberry.
The problem is that the dude binaries are meant for x86 not ARM. The raspberry Pi 2 uses ARM A7. So far there hasnt been a single ARM based routerboard. Its the same issue that windows for ARM based tablets and mobiles wont run the same binaries as the ones for your PC. I really would like my routerboards running dude to keep a list of things that goes on and to make it easier for me to get a network map.
Seems you are right. It’s not good…
