Dude Once a Day locks up and loses All Data

Currently I am running a Windows 2003 Sever with all service patches.

I set dude as a service - Does not change the problem.

We monitor 15 repeater sites using dude.
Once a day dude 1.0rc8 locks up the server and loses the data.
I restore the data from the xml backup and I have to try login in 3-5 times till I get logged back in.

I have had this problem sice rc6 but it still locked up before that.

I am guessing that it if because I have been using dude since v14.

Is there any way I can edit the xml file to start fresh but keep all the setting for my sites?

Thanks,
Aaron

I noticed that my system was coming up with a delayed write failure.
I know this error is usually a hardware error.
This is the 3rd computer that I have tried this on and it does the same thing. Is there any way that it could been the dude program.

The delayed write error only shows up when trying to write a dude file to the dude directory e:\dude\not sure of the rest.

Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Aaron

we have seen this “delayed write error” happen when dude is installed on
network share, run from there and either cable is unplugged or connection is
lost in some other way. After you get this error dude database may be left in
some inconsistent state and at next run server will detect it and discard it.

What kind of drive is ‘e’ on your computer?

Dude is running on a Raid 5 controller card.

Thanks for the responce :–)
