DUDE,WINE, AND XUBUNTU 7.04 MUY PROBLEMO

I can get Dude 2.2 and the new beta to install, but neither will connect to the local server. I can connect remotely, but you can’t see any of the data on the map. Anyone else have this problem…see below.

Fonts don’t work. Try running this:
Code:

sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts

If that doesn’t work, after installing msttcorefonts, run the command:
Code:

cp /usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/* ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts/

Thanks a lot DUCK…I had the fonts installed, but I had to copy them to the WINE font, directory. I don’t use wine that often…I had no idea…I moved to running a VM in qemu, but now I can use ole WINE again. Thanks for helping me with my “little” problem

Hi,

I am using the latest wine with the latest winbox but I get frequent crashes when using winbox with an IP address (not with a MAC address).

I have tried installing fonts but no luck.

It seems to happen when there are lots of textbox controls on the form, i.e. it will happen every time if I do this:

  1. Open Interfaces window
  2. Click on Wireless menu on left
  3. Double-click on wlan1

It then half-paints the window and crashes.

I really don’t want to go back to Windows, but I use winbox 10-50 times a day in my everyday work!

Thanks

Dave

try using Dude 3beta instead, also try to descrease the quality of the icons (turn off shadows and gradients in config), upgrade Wine and your Ubuntu …
