Dude

Hi!!

One questions,
Can i install Dude soft on my Routers OS 3.14 without problem?
thank’s :sunglasses:

depends on your hardware. I would not install the dude in anything less than an x86 installation.

Of course rev level of RouterOS doesnt much matter if you are at 3.14. Processing power is the bottleneck.

Dude on x86, OK. Dude on RouterOS not near as controllable as on Win2K. It just works that way…

In RouterOS last time I checked (correct me if I missed it) no exposure to the file system, no start/restart or any control of the process. Unless I just havent been paying attention to the latest releases for RouterOS.
If it can be started and restarted from WinBox, that could work.

RB Dude --600 level and above platforms as the main server, with sufficiently dense redundant flash drives as the data store. Better use of these platforms is of course as agents. Anything equal or better will work. I have loaded the dude package on an RB112 and it works as an agent. Maybe 1MB Free RAM. Not too responsive…

X86 with good NICs and fast processor with 512MB RAM seems to never use up resources (limited testing).
