Duplicate IPv6 DNS using "Peer DNS"

Hi all

I experience duplicate IPv6 DNS entries, when activating “use Peer DNS”. This only happens to IPv6 addresses.
I am running RouterOS 6.13, but it appears already with previous 6.x versions.

With every lease the router receives the DNS IP’s an adds them to the list of DNS servers. It seems that it add’s them with no limit, which results in freeze the browser, when showing the DNS menu in WegFig. The CLI works, but it’s odd to see that many DNS IP’s.

Uncheck Use Peer DNS in DHCPv6 client window and write it in manuali in DNS window. This is my solution.

Yes, this is the workaround. I expected something like, “this issue exists because the provider is doing something wrong” or “we’ll fix this in RouterOS”.

Problem resolved in last software edition. Or version before. I do not know when but problem with duplicated DNS entries gone.


I know it is late answer, i found couple of nights before.
