Dynadish 5 + SXT 5 links and multicast problem

Hey everyone.

Just yesterday I created 2 links from my ISP’s cell tower to get a decent web connection with IPTV service at my home in the woods. I was ecstatic yesterday when the connection was made. I took the 100/100 service from my ISP and after 2 radiolinks and almost 6 km I got 95/97 at my home. It is all good when I use basically unicast for web browsing or watching recordings from the ISP server. But when I try to watch live tv from IPTV everything goes to s*it (supposed to be multicast). I get 10/80 speeds with speedtest.net and the TV is skipping and breaking up and is very edgy. not so smooth video. When I power down the IPTV box everything starts working perfectly again. So with multicast everything breaks, and when it is using unicast it is perfect.

The question is is there an issue with radiolink configuration or do you think the problem is on the ISP side? And what might the issue be?

Maybe multicast package can help.

Yeah it might, but I did not mention that it is my first setup using Mikrotik products and I got them sort of pre configured, so step by step “dumbuser” explanation how to resolve my problem would be nice :smiley:

Download Extra packages corresponding your version, upload packet with drag and drop, restart.

it started working good a different way. Under wireless interface open advanced options and put “multicast helper” form Default to full. On both sides of the link. It worked for me.
