Is there any plans to implement the dynamic vlan assignment over wireless networks? Cisco currently has this functionality. I’ve been waiting for RouterOS to support this feature for awhile. I believe this could be extremely useful.

Go for it, we have 5500 cisco for vpn, works perfectly. Now we are up to change nortel to cisco main router with bgp support.
It’s a very good feature and i think it needs to implemented. +1

Maybe you can make also radius based cable port authorization ?
Based upon 802.1x, we are implementing something similar with Meru. But it would be a neath future in mikrotik as well.
I would love 802.1x on ethernet ports as well. And of course Calea and Metarouter through the store service.

Normus - Could we have an official reply on the possibility of Radius-based VLAN tagging for wireless clients? Your customers and potential customers alike have been asking for this feature for years. The forums are littered with posts about it on and off dating back to 2005. Back then “tully” in Mikrotik Support even mentioned that it was up for consideration as an addition for the new 2.9 series firmware!
This would be a GREAT addition for 5.x and shouldn’t be too complicated since Linux already has this feature - hostapd has offered this functionality for years.

No response from MK thus far.
Personnaly i don’t really care as far as we’re not deploying mikrotik devices / software on production sites anymore. But i think this could greatly benefit to the community and even to MK in term of sales.
