Hello,
For some reason I cannot send any e-mail from RouterOS thru our Sendmail MTA. Could the problem be on our mail server? Here’s the error:
Jun 28 11:08:13 korppi sm-mta[20839]: i5S88DRu020839: border-gw-1.*******.com [217.119..] did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA

I have the same problem with my routers. I don’t know what is the reason.. I even posted a question on a mailing list on 21.apr.2004.
Here is a mail:
I’m currently using 2.8.5 but I coludn’t send mail from my first 2.7.something routerOS. This is what I get in my mikrotik log:
Error sending e-mail: Error talking to server.
This is what I get on my mail server:
Apr 21 10:31:36 panter sendmail[20508]: i3L8VZOJ020508: router.domain.com [IP_Adress] did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA
I can telnet through terminal on my mikrotik to port 25 on my mail server and manualy send email.
Does anyone else have this problems sending emails from router?
