I have been trying to figure out how to get the e-mail notification function to work in version 1.2. What I am trying to do is just have an e-mail notification when a link on a switch goes down. I though I had it all configured but have made no progress. I have checked the manual, this forum, and just plain old guesswork. If anyone know what would be the best way to take a probe and assign it to like a trap or something please let me know.

Not sure I understand what the problem is. Just set up a ping service on a device at the other end of the link. Then right click on the device, select service tab, then double click on the ping service and select notifications. To customise the notifications, double click on Notifications in the left side pane and then add, remove etc.
