Yes it is. Because he does not tell what the cards are. He is keeping information from the forum for his own profit.

Sangoma A301 E3/T3 card is supported by the version 2.9x

Exchanged email with Sangoma technical support few months back. They say they are willing to work with Mikrotik to add support for there DS3 cards.

I am using Farsync cards successfully with Mikrotik.
FarSync T2U (2 port X.21/V.35/V.24)

Have an SBE DS3 card in a Mikrotik 2.9.51 router. It will run fine for anywhere from 12 to 96 hours before locking up hard. Monitor will not even wake up. Tried it on two totally different sets of hardware as well with same story.

Any word on sangoma DS3? I would buy 2 level 6 licenses If I could replace my Riverstones for BGP edge.

You can contact Sangoma here:

http://www.sangoma.com/support/contact_support.html

They were very responsive the last time I contacted them. Trouble is there drivers are not included in the linux kernel so Mikrotik does not support them. Problem is DS3 circuits are not at all common in Europe where Mikrotik is so its hard for them to test anything like that. At least thats what I understand of it. Likely just not enough people asking for DS3 support on Mikrotik anymore.

You might contact Sangoma just for the heck of it. The more people asking for this the better. Perhaps someone can buy a $couple$ of cards and donate them to Mikrotik. Too expensive for me though.

Matt

I would suggest to use Farsync cards as manufacturer is still producing cards, and you can still buy them new, also, they are providing driver for new kernel used in RouterOS, while others have stopped producing cards years ago, and all you can do is buy used ones, that might or might not work. (from listed as supported cards)

v3.15

*) removed support for all synchronous cards but farsync;

Does Farsync make a PCI DS3 card then?

It looks like no DS3 options from them.
