E60iUG in addition to Fritz!Box possible?

Hello everyone

I am new here because I have a hardware-problem that I think I can resolve with a E60iUG router. I'd like to hear your opinion if this could work or if it is nonsense.

At the moment I have this setup up and running. The cable connecting basement to 1st floor is a twin cable, one of which reaches only 100 Mbit transfer (tested with LinkSprinter), while the second delivers full speed:

So regardless how I connect the Fritz!Box, I am limited to 100 Mbit for internet speed.

After some sneaking around in the forum I think this setup should be possible:

Do you think this will work? Most important for me is, that I can reach my Nextcloud from outside, and use VoIP on the DECT phones via FritzBox.

If this makes sens, I think I could even replace the fiber modem with an SFP plug-in later.

What do you experienced guys think about it?

Thanks a lot

Jörg

Should work fine but keep in mind the limitations of E60iUG.
From what I read 400mbps PPPoE should work on ETH1/SFP.
Other ports a tat faster.

What Voip service do you use?
Might need to use a SIP helper on the Tik

Voip is provided by Deutsche Telekom as part of the fiber internet. Works out of the box with the Fritz, so I think I will have to find out what ports to open and forward to the FritzBox with the new setup.

I have also read about the port 1 limitations, but I think this was fixed with the latest RouterOS version. Anyway, I have the 300 down/150 upstream contract so 400 is more than enough...

I think it should work out of the box. They have STUN. No need to open any incoming/outgoing ports. Just check if it is working before making any firewall changes on hex s

Great, thanks. Order for the hex is out. I will play around and try to get familiar with the RouterOS and come back here as soon as I have broken everything :innocent:
