I have multiple mikrotiks running with R52H card. From time to time we have electrical storms around here and we have had problems with several cards.
After these storms we had to replace several cards, why they have dropped by level of signal. The decline varies from 5 to 15 points of the signal in all radios attached.

If your cards are dying after electrical storms then perhaps you should investigate either
a) putting lightening protector between the antenna and the Router (http://au.wifi-link.com/product.php?class1_id=13&class2_id=30 ← example)
b) looking for a wireless card with a point to attach a grounding wire (some of the ubiquiti cards come with these)
install proper grounding on all equipment, that should help
