Using backup script for past 2 years now with no problems. This morning other tech says he has not seen any new backups over the weekend. Log shows error sending email: error handling file ? Our email is third party, but they have done nothing in the last month to their servers. The only firewall change has been my me to allow securesmtp server for iphones to send mail vial our email server. Any Ideas ?
enable debug logs for email, read the output…
make some delay before sending the e-mail after you create backup file. That is usually the cause of the problem - files is still being handles when email tool tries to get it.
Trouble was a replaced dns server having authoritative rights for the ip class
