Emailing Notification to Gmail

Hi. I’m very new, but it seems that The Dude is a very good NMS tools.

I would like to set “The Dude” to email Notification to “snadi.group@gmail.com”, but it is not successful yet. Here are the setting that I’ve done.

  1. Since i could not put “smtp.gmail.com” in the SMTP server setting, I ping the address, and put in the equivalent IP. Please refer to the attached Thedude1.jpg.

  2. I tried to test the notification email, but this error message came out “invalid TO address”.

Can somebody help me with this problem. Thanks in advance

if your using gmail to send mail it must go to a gmail account. if you want to send to a yahoo address use a yahoo server. dude and routeros dont support SMTP AUTH so you have to relay it to a server that will relay / accept without authentication.

So figure on an SMTP server. I use 1st SMTP server, Check on the web for it. Its what i use when using Windows operating system. good luck. And yes I use G-mail for my notifications as well. -Jordan
