Please enable BGP on ROSv7 as I need VXLAN to peer with 4IXP and EVIX. EOIP doesn’t work behind 1:1 nat and gretap is not supported on ROS. Please enable BGP on ROSv7 as VXLAN is the only way to peer with them!
… Please enable BGP on ROSv7…
They will enable it when they are ready. This is a beta. Please be patient.
Been waiting since November! No vxlan in rosv6. Need both vxlan and bgp.
Don’t buy something with a functionnality you need that is not present or “should come in future”.
You’ll get the feature when it is ready, wait
Why u need to peer at this points and way I googled but the networks participating are small and not worth to connect …
Even the packet overhead might be no option to do …
At the Swiss exchange I was not able to see the Member list …

It is not about the “worth” of connecting to the IX, its about the half baked nature of router OS.
What’s new in 7.0beta7 (2020-Jun-3 16:31):

+1 great
Half baked - you mean like it’s still being made?
Imagine that.
So, you need BGP into ROS7 to peer to a virtual IXP (a bit useless to me) behind NAT ? You are running a multihomed network behind NAT ? That’s crappy !
Btw VxLAN in ROS7 only supports Multicast IIRC, so, it will not work, even with BGP.
I wonder why people use rare ip space and as number for fun peering … if u look on the as numbers most of them have long numbers … I would appreciate if the use those resources for business and clients not for private fun stuff …
OSPF is broken. This should be ROSv7 alpha. basic features dont work simply!
Be more specific what exactly is not working.
OSPF exactly is not working!!!11oneone
