enable U-APSD (WMM power save)

I’m trying to get some polycom phones to work on Mikrotik AP’s they require wmm-ps. I have enabled WMM following suggestions on these fourms but when looking at the beacons u-apsd still shows as 0 disabled. It seems the atheros chip supports the command to enable U-APSD via “iwpriv ath0 uapsd 1” but I can’t figure out how to enable this option in RouterOS.

Has anyone had any luck turning this on or otherwise making Polycom phones work?

Thanks..

RouterOS currently doesn’t support WMM power save feature.

Do you have any date or release where the (U-APSD) wmm-Power Save and wmm Admission Control was supported Under MikroTik OS?

Any one will answer?

Hello,

I havent digged into the topic a lot, but as i understand- smartphones, voip phones @ offices would benefit a lot from this technology. As i can see, Mikrotik IS INTO office wireless APs (cAP-2n, RB941-2nD and other devices with integrated antennas), so maybe they could explain us something regarding this.

Maybe the U-APSD is not worth it? Too complicated? Please tell us something.

Best regards and awaiting your answer!

RB941-2nD is also called hAP lite - as Home AP lite so it would be really nice for this kind of product to support wmm power save. Without it battery on my smartphone is drained very fast.
