"Encryption got out of sync"

Often, when I connect PPTP from Windows to Mikrotik4, it immediately disconnects after connection. Usually, I can immediately re-connect and it is fine.

Once I am connected for more than a couple seconds, it NEVER drops the connection.

If it drops the connection, it is ONLY right after connection. If it stays connected for more than 2 seconds, then it will stay connected forever.

This is using a user inside the Mikrotik, not radius.

Here is the log:

user: terminating... - Encryption got out of sync

which version? using ipv6 package at all?

Not using ipv6 at all. Package not installed.

Any light on this issue? Have them same problem using Ros6.11

Same problem here, we are using vpn pptp, Encryption got out of sync on client Router RB750 ROS 6.15, VPN server RB1100 ROS 6.11?

No one at Mikrotik Respond to this error?

Have the same problem. Strange behavior from Mirkotik team. No answer.

As far as we know and have tested PPTP connection works okay with Windows machine.

I can confirm that the problem still persists in 6.30.2.
It is easier to reproduce when connecting from Apple clients.

You must have extensive packet lost on that link where tunnel is running on. I can’t see this happening here in my network
