encyription in backhaul

hi, how do we config encyription in backhaul?

The same way as any other link.

I mean, I don’t wanna use WPA or WEP, that makes network slower. I am looking for something like 802.xx encyription, not network slower encyription.

I use this with R52 cards and have not noticed and performance hit

name="backbone_wpa" mode=dynamic-keys authentication-types=wpa-psk,wpa2-psk
   unicast-ciphers=tkip group-ciphers=tkip wpa-pre-shared-key="your password here"
   wpa2-pre-shared-key="your password here" supplicant-identity=""
   tls-mode=no-certificates tls-certificate=none static-algo-0=none
   static-key-0="" static-algo-1=none static-key-1="" static-algo-2=none
   static-key-2="" static-algo-3=none static-key-3="" static-transmit-key=key-0
   static-sta-private-algo=none static-sta-private-key=""
   radius-mac-authentication=no radius-mac-accounting=no
   radius-eap-accounting=no interim-update=0s
   radius-mac-format=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX radius-mac-mode=as-username
   radius-mac-caching=disabled group-key-update=5m

WPA/WPA2 encryption is supported in R52 cards hardware, so there is no strain on the router itself if encryption is enabled. As you mention that this is backhaul, then there is no sense to use WEP as more traffic flows through faster WEB can be cracked.
