Endian Firewall Openvpn and Mikrotik Routerboard 750GL

Hi all,

Please, I have found difficult to import .pem file generated from Endian Firewall. I have one OpenVPN Server from Endian Firewall in a certain location, and I would like acess this network from OpenVPN, I have some others points, but with OpenVPN Client Endian Firewall running ok.
Recently I bought one RouterBoard 750GL and I try upload directly from SCP Ftp client, and I get it… After access Certificates (import) but no success. Endian Firewall OpenVPN Server generates only one .PEM file, and you can uses this files with another Endian Firewall running with Client, or OpenVPN Windows Client, since you have correctly .ovpn file to access, with user and password, ip, etc…
When I try creates OVPN Client inside Mikrotik, after file all fields, and take connect, Mikrotik says (No certificate found) and I import previously, and check password.
Does have any trick to uses this .pem created from Endian Firewall with Mikrotik?

Thanks a lot.

Gilberto Mendes,

TO use Endian as the server for MikroTik clients is tricky.
MikroTik does not support compression on OpenVPN. So in order to get a MikroTik to connect to Endian you have to go and edit some files inside the Endian to disable LZO compression. Its a bit of a mission, but it can be made to work - however note that connections over poor links are not that stable then.
