Greetings to the brain trust!
I have an issue with my EoIP setup. Overall speed is fine with normal traffic. My issue is jitter. I am passing Dante AoIP which is jitter sensitive. The traffic starts off fine with the jitter in the negative range (getting data faster than needed). When the counters start to arrive near the 1500 mark, jitter starts creeping up until the devices reset the session. It seems as though a buffer is filling up at that point and the released as a burst of traffic. I am running default config with no other traffic on a pair of 5009 routers with a 1G wire connection between the two. (This is testing before I move it into another “situation”.) Any suggestions on how to “bypass” any buffering / caching / queuing this thing is doing for the EoIP link and just shove the packets out as fast as it receives them? Happy to answer any other questions. The main purpose is to hop over a misbehaving VLAN segment that spans a Cisco / Juniper network I have no control over that doesn't pass the mDNS discovery correctly.
