EoIP-Problem, ping ok, DNS ok, but no other traffic passes

Hello,

short question:
I have tried do build a ManagementVLAN through an EoIP-Tunnel.
In the NOC we have a 1100AHx2 as core-router, PPTP-Tunnels are terminating here.

We established the PPTP-Connection, we build the EoIP-Tunnel, setup a bridge and connect the ports.

When I connect a client on the remote site, our main DHCP-Server asignes our client an address.
Now I can ping the other clients in the management-VLAN, I can use nslookup to resolve some URLs, but
I cannot access the web-guis of some devices. Mostly I can access the devices at our NOC, but not the devices on an other EoIP-endpoint.
Also surfing the web is not possible, over the EoIP-Tunnel.

What I have checked:
Same ID on both ends.
Unique ID for each tunnel
All EoIP-Tunnels in one bridge at NOC
Different MACs on every EoIP-Interface.

We have everywhere the same default MTU (default 1500). Maybe this is my problem, a friend of mine told me, that I have to reduce the MTU to 1490 >> as we are using EoIP over PPTP.

Any idea about the topic?

  1. it sounds like a routing issue.

but thats hard to say with the information that you have given, i came to this conclusion because all your L2 protocals seems to work, and your dhcp subnet seems to work, (asuming ur dhcp is ur dns and so forth) but ur l3 wont route, aka iether u dont know how to speak to those devices, or they dont know how to speak to you.

  1. putting a Vlan and then bridging it, why? its like making it private, and then public again, inside the same network?
