EoIP problem

Well I added an EoIP interface to an AP because we were testing a PtP link and the other end was a Prism card that did NOT support WDS. So I tested out the EoIP tunnel, and it didn’t work to my expectations, so I decided to remove it. Well once I did that the AP started acting real funky. Ping time skyrocketed (to the AP), dropped packets, services stopped responding (HTTP, SSH, FTP) wouldn’t recognize my password for winbox, telnet, etc.. Had to send a technician out to do a hard reboot.

Oh this is 2.9.10 BTW. I had the tech power cycle the device and then it returned to normal operation, however the damn EoIP interface was still there. I again tried to delete the interface and it did the same thing.

I’m upgrading it to 2.9.17 to see if it resolves this issue, any other ideas? That’s the last time I mess with EoIP.

Nevermind, after upgrading it removed the interface no problem..

That has got to be the wierdest thing I’ve experienced with RouterOS.
