Hello folks,
Im not sure if this was somewhere discussed or not (didnt found a similar topic in discussion) and I`m curious if anybody will know what could be an issue.
Let me describe my setup first:
-
Network gears
Routerboard: Mikrotik RB952Ui-5ac2nd (hAP ac lite)
RouterOS: 6.46.6 -
devices connected via UTP:
laptop HP
laptop Dell
NAS server -
devices connected via WLAN:
Android phone (Sony XZ1)
Epson printer XP-305
Sony TV Bravia
LAN/WLAN configuration:
by default, all physical ports except ether1 are members of the default bridge port
CAPsMAN configured to merge the WLAN1 and WLAN2 interface and announcing two SSIDs.
First SSID is normal and second for Guest.
Currently all devices connected over WLAN are in the normal SSID.
The printer received an IP address from the DHCP pool where is static.
The printer is reachable via ping from the router and from the computer connected to the ether port.
Im using the Epson printer application in a mobile phone and if I try to discover a printer in the LAN network, then app cant find the printer.
I was trying also scan IP addresses in the network from the mobile phone and cant find the printer IP. However Im able to reach TV with google cast and all other devices in the LAN.
The printer is able to register to google cloud print and is reachable. The printer is reachable over the Epson print cloud as well. So the printer has full connectivity to LAN and to the Internet.
So if I summary my problem:
mobile is able to reach everything except the printer.
I`m not using any filter to define which ports or applications allowed in the LAN except default configurations.
The printer has web interface for some basic management. This is reachable from laptop in the same LAN.
So in my view printer is completely invisible for mobile nor IP address is unreachable for him.
Both are in the same LAN network 192.168.0.0/24
Could anybody give me any hint about what can be an issue and how to fix it?
I don`t need to say if I remove Mikrotik from network than all services are working fine.
Thanks for any hints. I can provide screenshots or configuration snippets if needed.
