I have to make a wireless solution where an AC equipment with sector antenna will be used as AP, with which the clients will connect. But what I need to know is, which of the mikrotik equipment should be suitable to connect to AC as CPE (on 5ghz) and its 2.4 ghz will be used for the users to connect to the internet.
In other words, the 5ghz will be used for backbone and 2.4ghz for the users to use the network.
I have to stream 360p video so the backbone should be strong.
Regards
P.S any Ubiquity AC equipment that can be connected to Mikrotik AC equipment? just asking.
An outdoor router such as basebox (or any other mikrotik equipment with 5ghz n/ac) with sector antenna will be mounted.
My CPEs will be mounted in on a Fiber Wall inside the room. It is like, mounting the HAP AC on a thin fiber wall and behind the wall, approximately 500 ft will be the backhaul basebox.
The concept is:
CPE’s 5 GHZ will be used as backbone and its 2.4 ghz will be acting as an AP for the users to use internet
There will be 9 CPEs
Almost 10 to 15 clients per CPE.
Maximum distance will be 500 ft.
The ninth CPE will be at 500ft, 8th CPE will be at 60 less meaning at 440 ft. 7th cpe will be at 380 ft and so on.
I was thinking of HAP AC as CPE and Netmetal 5 triple with Sector Antenna as Backbone (Netmetal’s ethernet port will be connected to our server for data).
