We have a customer that uses the Hot-spot functionality. When we try to print some vouchers from the User Manager we get the message: Error 404: Session time out.
The interesting thing is that every time we try a new browser, it will work and we can print the vouchers. But next time we want to print some new vouchers (maybe some days or weeks?) the same message apperars: Error 404. Deleting cache and cookies doesn’t help, but a re-install of a browser and reboot of client computer has fixed it some times.
Tried most lastest browsers: Opera, Chrome, Firefox. The one that actually worked this time was IE6 (!).
Error 404 simply implies that the client was able to communicate with user manager server, but the server could not find what was requested because the page/session has expired. The pages of the user man are not meant to be cached.
quick fix that I have used over time when this error flashes up:
always logout from the user manager interface when you finish creating vouchers.
Don’t start a new session by attempting to load the last page that you opened when you last logged in.
