Error: maximum connection count reached

Hello,
I’m using a Mikrotik RB751U-2HnD with an old firmware 2.38 (i can’t update it) and I found a problem during the execution of this command (on Terminal):

:tool fetch mode=ftp address=“IP” src-path=“/cloud/version.txt” dst-path=“/currversion.txt” user=“username” password=“passwordftp”

It give me the following error:

failure: maximum connection count reached

I tried also with another Mikrotik same of the previous ones and give me the same error.
So after that I tried the same command with other Mikrotik RB951Ui-2HnD with a firmware 6.38 and works correctly.

Can you help me please?

Thanks,
With best regards,

Marco

What is reason you cant update?

That version has tons of vulnerabilities; update all.

Hi,
I have a lot of customers with old firmware and I can’t force them to update it.
But i found the problem, there were different scripts blocked and, after killed all them, the command worked correctly.
So i think the problem is solved.

Thanks anyway for the reply.
With best regards,
Marco
