error when click update license key

Hi i have a mikrotik rb751u-2hnd im getting this issue, when i go to License en Winbox and click on Update License Key, i get failed: Invalid old software ID. is this normal? i recently upgraded to v6.6 my license is level 4

i bought my router in amazon, that could be the reason? it came with level 4 license

no, i have the same, i just reset the router once to reconfigure some things

the “Upgrade license key” feature is only used in a few situations

SXT-G 5HnD came with level 3 but was moved to level 4 later to make a good AP. This used it

The old Software ID codes got upgraded to new ones in V3 so that used it as well.

Other than that you shouldn’t need to use it at all and the error you are seeing is normal as it is telling you that these special cases don’t apply to the device.
