eth disconnecting on RB2011UAS-2HnD

Hi,
Quite interesting problem… any ethernet is randomly disconnecting and in short period of time - connecting back.
It doesn’t make any problems using PC, but it’s making big problems using smart TV (dlna etc). for example, if I’m watching film on TV via DLNA from PC than film is stopped if if connection is lost on tv or on pc.

Is it a hardware problem or something else? maybe power (RB is powered from 12v (14.4v) accu)?

make sure that you are using the latest RouterOS v6.10 and the latest BIOS that is in that version.
If your wireless interface also enabled?

Yes, I’m using rOS 6.10, firmware 3.12, newest.
Yes wireless is enabled, but I haven’t noticed any problems in wireless. Maybe there is, but it’s not so easy notice uptime problems on wifi. On mobile phone via wifi all is working OK.

Have you tried replacing the affected cables? Even if it’s just with a temporary cable not running through walls or such to see if that might be causing the problem. I know it’s unlikely that all your cables have the same problem but still it might be worth trying. Looking at your link coming up at different speeds and sometimes even 10Mbit, I’m thinking it might be the cables, a badly connected connector, something of the sort. Try a brand new, preferably factory made cable.

Are the specific cables running next to something that would could cause any kind of RF radiation? Like a microwave or an elevator or anything of the sort?

Is there any variation in the power supply? Would it be possible to connect it to a wall socket directly? Maybe the voltage is sometimes dipping to low or varying too much (officially within tolerated range) Could you try a different power supply? You can power the RB2011 either using the included adapter or with Passive POE over Eth1.

Hopefully this gives you a few more options to try! First thing I would do is take it off the battery and connect it using a normal wall socket (even if through an extension cord) and see how it performs that way.

Yes, I have tried direct cables avoiding any magnetic field (in my configuration it’s only UPS) - the same problem. Then tried 24v 2A power supply from wall socket - again the same. At this moment I’m using RB600 with daughter board with the same old cables and same powering scheme (from 12v accu) - and quess what - problem has gone.

Hmm, odd.

Do your 100MBit and 1000Mbit ports have the same problem?

Are you able to try the RB2011 in a completely different location and setting? Looking at what you have tested and that the other board is working, maybe the RB2011 you have is just broken?
