eth1 to eth3 bridge with a vlan hotspot

I am trying to get a hotspot to respond to vlan tagged packets on a bridge between two interfaces. Clients with the vlan tag get an IP address from the hotspot but not the login page. I want to let all other traffic on the bridge pass undisturbed unless it has the propper vlan tag.
During initial setup I created a bridge and added ports eth1 and eth3. there is an IP address on the bridge. I put the vlan interface on eth3 first then setup the hotspot using the wizard but it didnt even respond to dhcp requests. I moved the vlan to the bridge and it will now give out IPs but no login.

Anyone have any pointers to a walkthru or a quicksetup for something like this? I can ping the outside world from inside the MT.

I asked MT about this and they told me that you can’t have a hotspot on a vlan that is part of a bridge. If you have found another way around this I would be interested in how you were able to make it work.

Thanks,

Kevin

I tried Hotspot on bridged interface But I could not success.

No, I haven’t been able to figure out a way to get this to work yet. Anybody else have any ideas? Maybe a mangle rule to get the vlan tags to the hotspot? I want to keep untagged traffic passing through the bridge.
