Ether1 Flapping

Hi @ all!

We have the following probem:

We have a SXT and a Omnitik. The SXT is connected with a LAN-Cable with the PoE. The Omnitik too! The PoE-LAN is connected with the other PoE-LAN. We have renew the cable and the PoE but the problem is the same:

We have another Point (Omnitik and SXT) there have no probem. Another Point (Omnitik and Sextant has the same problem).
Firmware is 5.14, where have any Ideas?

Yeah we have that issue with our SXT.
Might try shielded ethernet cable.
The thing that fixed it was letting our switch port autonegotiate down to 10Mbps. That stopped the flapping 0 but its only at 10Mbps. :frowning:
I think it might have to to do with the total lack of RF shielding in this product. We are still trying to get a link to go accross - and am about to pull this product. Seems we have it on a tower that has a low power FM radio station and its too much for it. We do have an RB 600 in a metal enclosure on the same tower - no flapping.

Hello omrob, thank you for your reply.
I have reinstall and reconfig the Omnitik but the same Problem.
I have on ether1 now only the PoE. For the Data i have a new Cable on Ether3 and there is no Problem!
I find that there is a construction-failure with the ether1 and the PoE!

same issue

I had the same issue on a RB711 with ROS 5.25. Upgraded to ROS 6.5, and problem solved.
