Ether1(gateway) and ether2(client) on the same ip range

Hello,

Please help me with this, I’m new to Mikrotik.

I have assigned IP’s from my isp (11.22.33.1 - 11.22.33.30) direct wan connection. I want to connect ether1 to ISP’s gateway (11.22.33.1) and want to connect 24 port layer2 switch to MT’s ether2 , on that switch will be connected 24 clients with static IP’s from 11.22.33.2 - 11.22.33.25

My question is how can i setup ether1 and ether2 to be on the sam IP range so clients can use gateway assigned by ISP

Thanks

I think you don’t need MT. just put the cable from IPS to Switch. You can also create a bridge on MT and add port 1 and 2 to that.

Thanks for your reply. I need it because of firewall functions, traffic management etc. , will i be able to do that with bridge you’ve suggested

thanks

Also, i would need some VLANS, IP’s assigned to clients MAC, bandwidth control ( uplink/downlink) speed, would it be possible with bridged setup as suggested or is there any better way to accomplish desired

Thanks for your repy
