ether1 high download rate

I’m new to mikrotik routers, over the past month after a couple of days I will notice my internet is hardly responsive. It is almost as if a DOS attack is being used against me.

ether1 will show really high rate of activity and usually my temporary fix would be to change the mac address and turn off my modem and get a new IP address.

ether1 I assume is the actual activity from the modem correct? None of my actual devices show high traffic but this.

Any ideas?

You should use Winbox and go to IP → Firewall → Connections, and turn on the rate displays to so you what connections are using the bandwidth.

You could also run the torch command on that interface to see the IPs and rates hitting the interface.
