I have three WANs using the load balance configuration found on the wiki. One problem I have noticed is that once in a while the the WAN interface freezes up, this varies from WAN1 to WAN3. What I notice is that the RX Rate goes to Zero and only the TX Rate is functioning, when this is happening I cant surf the internet but I am able to login to my MT from inside the network. Once I login I disable and enable the interface that is acting up and everything goes back to normal. This happends with all three WANs, sometimes once I fix one immidietly the other freezes and sometimes it stays working fine for hours.
not sure why it’s happening, but you can work around this problem.
Add a netwatch script that monitors your Internet connection and disables/enables the interface in case of any problems.
You should take support-output file when the problem happens and sent it to support@mikrotik.com to enable us to find the reason of the problem.
I have the same problem on RB112 any transmissions from lan is stopped, i can’t see any client behind lan port when i reset switch (unplug and plug power) lan port still not working and still can’t see any clients behind lan, when i click “disable” button on lan interface configuration window and after it click “enable” everything works correctly and lan port is working i see my clients on wlan cards any transsmision is working ok,
Ok, glad am not the only one having this problem, the wierd thing now is that its only doing it in one WAN… Now on the WAN that is doing it I could not get a static ip from my ISP so I forced an IP address of the same network. I am now wodering if this is the problem!! Wont realy find out until I buy a router and connect it to the wan with a static ip address.
Resetting switch don’t came any positive results ethernet is still freezed after it, but disable/enable ethernet from MT or reset MT bring it back ethernet to life
