Ethernet Light Issue

Hi all,

Just a query regarding the mAPs and their capability of connecting to the internet.
We use mAPs for wireless bridging between either other mAP or hAP units.
Pre-config we often have an issue wherein the device, if plugged in via an Ethernet cable and then powered up afterwards, will continually flash it’s Ethernet light and the device will not work. This means that we cannot load any config onto it and continue using it. The only workaround for this is to plug the power in first, leave the device and then plug the Ethernet cable in afterwards. This problem only seems to occur on DrayTek devices for us.
We are wondering if anyone knows why this is or has a fix for it as it is starting to become a problem for us.

I think you’d better email support linking to this post, this is an user forum, and it may take a while until they find this thread.

Prior to emailing them, make sure you netinstall the tested mAP to 6.38.7, making sure System > Routerboard Current Firmware is the same as Upgrade Firmware after netinstalling, upgrading and rebooting afterwards if it isn’t.
