Ethernet port dose not work

I have a routerboard 1000 which Eth1 dose not work.when i turn the power on it blinks for a sec but when i connect it to a cable it dosent work.

i really appreciate the help.

Hi,
Did you connect to Router via other Ethernet ports and see whether ether1 is enable or disable?

thanks for reply,the three other ports are working,and i also upgraded the router but th Eth1 still not working

So, you mean the ether1 was enabled but did not work. go to winbox and check ether1, in Ethernet status tab, check the speed and see whether Auto negotiation in on or off. If this feature is off and for example you select 1000 Mbps speed and plugged a 100 Mbps Ethernet cable, it wont work!!
