Everything is working..except RDP in local network

Hello guys, im a total noob with RouterOS, i bought RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN to replace my old cisco e4200 because it became very unstable to hold on my local network.

From the get go, since i turned it on, i knew that my money was well spent on this baby, its amazing. My only problem is that i dont know that much about networking to begin with, just the basics, everything is working great on my LAN, except the RDP. I need to be able to rdp to any of my local pc from any of them.

If you can help me out i will be more than grateful, its driving me crazy. Everything else i tried, is working like a dream.

Thanks so much in adv.

do dst-nat on private ip on RDP port

May i ask exactly how do i do that? Thanks.

are all devices on the same subnet with no vlans ?

nikc, i found out what was the problem…the stupid windows firewall was blocking the “new” network for some reason, but funny was..it never asked about it.

So, case closed for me, this router is 10/10, one of the best buys in my life!

Thanks for your help guys

My guess: Windows flagged your (new) network as a public network.

So you’d either mark the network as Home or Work network or allow RDP from public networks.

I even get the ‘new network’ notification on router reboot every now and then on Windows 8.1.

Exactly, what i did what just register the new network as a home/private network, and every PC is accesible now 100%.

Its very annoying because you keep forgeting about it, but well…

Sorry for kicking this topic, but this issue has been resolved since removing the bridge from my setup.

Probably the issue (Windows network marked as public after router reboot) can be resolved by entering a static mac address for the bridge, if exists.
