Hi all,

Hotspot setup

  • Version RouterOS 2.9.12
  • No filtering

I had a client today that couldn’t view emails in his webmail.
He could successfully login and see the folder view but the frame that shows the messages stays at “loading”

I tested it on 3 computers and 2 separate remote exchange servers with the same result.
Then I tried on another internet connection at the same location but not a mikrotik router all the frames load (both connections use the same isp)

It appears it is related to mikrotik.

Has anyone has a similar thing happen to them
Is it worth upgrading?

Just want to check as if I ask the client to upgrade to the latest RouterOS and it does not fix it, then I will look like a goose.

Many goofy issues like that are related to MTU’s. Are you using PPPoe anywhere?

I use exchange behind a MikroTik.

Internet access to web outlook (OWA) is fine… in both http and https mode.

I have had an issue with hotspot access to a OWA server for MANY versions…

I have created an account for the boys to use whenever they want, but I dont know if they have tried it yet..
