Hi all
i need create ptp with two link wireless in bonding. This place have many ptp 5ghz and i think use 1 link wireless 5ghz and 1 link wireless 17ghz to ensure connectivity.
have you experience in this configuration?
p.s It’s not possibile two link 17ghz because over budget
It should work w/o problems. Router won`t mind what kind of wireless link is behind the ethernets connected to it. You can bond, load balance, failover withe them without problem.
my worry is for the difference in latency between the two connections
I don’t think that would be an issue, even if using same band and even brand/model dual links, strictly speaking latency is never going to match on both.
If there’s an abysmal latency difference between them, you could route by policy, i.e. using the worst link for least important traffic, etc. Or you could use OSPF over them and let it take care of that.
Is there that significative difference between them?
Hi pukkita.
Sorry for waiting my reply.
The bonding wireless with(
5ghz and 17ghz is still a project.
i need two connection wireless for aggregation througput and connection continuity .
My worry is latency with because voip on connection.
I use , only one 5ghz because big noise in this area and budget only buy one link for 17ghz
