Just as a note based upon my experiences channel bonding on the CRS is currently done in the CPU, which is limited by a 1Gb/s uplink from the switch chip and the speed of the CPU chip. I have found that bonding on the CRS actually achieves a slower speed than not bonding, and using the hardware switch chip. I have found that speeds of about 250Mb/s were the resultant real world speeds when performing CPU based switching on the CRS. However, the CRS should in a later software release should gain hardware based LACP bonding, according to the MikroTik reps on the forum.

Great tip! many thanks for that!
