extend wifi for dead spot

Hi,

I have rb4011igs+5hacq2hnd-in with 2 SSID (IOT | Workstations) and 2 networks one for each. I canratero VLsAN if it necessary.
I bought cap ac to place it in a room with no good wifi coverage.
I have in wall wire running between the 4011 and the cap ac so I connect them to Ethernet port.
What is the best setup to extend the wifi coverage?

  1. change the rb4011 to home mesh?
  2. configure the cap as ap?
    3.Use Capsman?
  3. other configuration?

CAPSMAN … one WiFi network + ability to control when your devices are moved to AP with better quality signal.

Caps-man doesn’t always work as well with multiple SSIDs on the main router radio.

Also Mikrotik wireless is pretty inferior to just about anything released in the last 4 years.

But if I was gonna go cheap… And didn’t care about slow speeds… Frequent client disconnect messages… Getting overwhelmed by nearby competing radios in the same channel…

I use a router without wifi or leave it out of caps mode. Then have multiple APs that are easily controlled from the caps-manager.

Just keep your client count low and the clients expectations even lower.
