I’ve got some questions related to tagging routes with ext-communities.
Is there any way to:
1.- Edit the Type High and Type Low (Type and Sub-type) of the community? don’t really need it right now, just asking, since it seems to be possible on Cisco, Juniper, etc.
2.- Is there a way to remove all the ext/regular communities from a preffix? I can’t seem to find it (this I need). As in, on my network the routers are tagging preffixes with communities (and extended communities) for internal processing, I’d like to strip them all before sending to my upstreams provider.
You mean you can’t do that on extended communities other than the route target type ones, right? Because route targets are extended communities (one of the types) and is indeed available and I can do all that. What I can’t do (don’t know whether is because I don’t know how or it’s not supported) is to remove an extended community (RT subtype only, since these are the only one supported in ROS) from a prefix, we use them for a lot of things but I don’t want to send those tags to our upstream providers.
Also I’d like to know whether this is possible with regular communities as well.
By the way, any information related as to when is going to be available v7? Thanks in advance!
