Reading the FAQ on licencing it looks like I should be able to extend my current level 3 licence. However, looking at the licencing website I can’t see where I can do this - the only option appears to be an upgrade to level 4. Any pointers?
Call the distributor you ordered the license from. They should be able to renew the license. You can go through another distributor, but they have to jump through hoops to get you an updated license. The whole licensing is kind of puzzeling to me, I believe it should be centralized through mikrotik… At least that would make it easier to renew/upgrade expired licenses.
Yes I’ve read that. What I can’t find is how I actually use the licensing website to extend the licence. If I select ‘Work with existing keys’ I only get the upgrade option even though the existing key hasn’t expired.
how to purchase a new key? simply log in and click on purchase a new key. upgrade from L3 to L4 is not possible, as the wiki says. You need to purchase a new key (the wiki also says that)
This is possible on the account server, you just have to ignore the fact that the option to upgrade to level 4 is selected. Just extend the licence using the drop-down box and click submit.
