I have a dilema about web cache, what would be the best choice if money is not an issue. Should I buy an applience that does Web Cache or should I just setup web cache on the MT?
I have used long time ago the web cache on the MT and I realy didnt noticed any difference… We are talking about 5 years ago. I am using hotspot and I definetly will need web cache on this network. Now from what I understand the web cache saves images of websites localy and when a user clicks on that web site it gets most of the images from web cache server.
Now what if that website changes? Will it still show the old one? is anyone using MT Web Cache and actualy see a big Dif? Should I use the Web Cache in the same machine the hotspot is?
basicaly I need a guide to tell me what would be the best way to go… I have a possible 223 users that will connect to my network, and i only have 15 megs download and 1.5 megs upload, i have the profile set to give unlimited bandwidth as burst and than bring down to 512k if they are continuesly downloading…
I am just not clear on what to do or how to setup.. Sorry but am scared to have bad perfermance on my network..
need your expertise help
