RouterOS is based on Linux.
Is it possible to install own software, written e.g. in C, or is it limited to run skripts with the build in Skriplanguage?

Sorry but installing own software is not possible. RouterOS is not based on “linux”, it only uses “linux kernel” and some other basic parts.
