Hi,
I purchased a new HAP AX3. But I see the TX Power for the 2.4G Interface is going max upto 16dbm. Changed country settings but same. This has restricted the coverage area for the device. Attached the Wireless Status Image. Sharing WiFi Config below::
Any inputs how can I increase it? As per device specs it supports 27 dbm. Similar low Tx for 5GHz band also happened but after changing country to Unites States the TX for 5G Band is now 28 dbm.
At least you have to have both radios use the same country code. What TX power are you expecting? Sure you want to use 40MHz bandwidth (which is decreasing the power that can be used in the frequency band you use? Isn’t this the maximum due to regulations? I know there is a command that shows maximum tx power per frequency, you should check that for yourself.
Previously I had a old model of Mikrotik - RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN which gave good coverage but single band and got daamged due to lightning.
Currently changed 2.4 Country to Bermuda and TX power in status window increased to 27 and I think it is the highest for this device.
5Ghz Band is still on US Country config and TX Power is 28 for 5G Band.
