Factory reset for NetMetal 5

I have a NetMetal 5 and in using it as a CPE device I accidentally disabled the Ethernet port. I would like to factory reset it, however all the information I have found online hasn’t led to any success.

I have unplugged the ethernet power, held the reset button in and plugged the POE back in. I have counted to 5, 10, 15 and 30. I have waited 60 seconds. I have waited for the USR light to blink, finish blinking, second blink, etc. Nothing. Always the same beep followed by two beeps a short time later. No access on .88.1, which was never changed as device IP in configuration.

Is there somewhere I can find facotry reset instructions ?, I feel as if I am not looking in the right places.

What you did is correct, the button must be released when the User LED is flashing.

If you can’t connect to the IP address, try to use Winbox and check if the MAC address of the unit is detected. It is possible the config is cleared entirely, and your unit has no IP address.
